The Ritz London provides one of the most iconic afternoon teas services in the city. One of the more intimate dining rooms of the traditional hotels, the space boasts tall ceiling with the most beautiful hand-gilded millwork. The service features a vast assortment of over 20 flavors of London’s Canton Teas, sparkling tea from the Copenhagen Tea Company and Barons de Rothschild, “Reserve Ritz” champagne.
The traditional sandwich assortment was as impressive as the dining room. My favorite was the Scottish smoked salmon with lemon butter on sourdough bread. I am definitely adding this to my rotation at home. The second course of freshly baked scones were served with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry preserves, plus a wide assortment of pastries and cakes. The soaked rum cake and their version of tiramisu was the perfect way to end and this amazing tea experience.
The Ritz London is the only hotel in the UK to have a certified Tea Master, Giandomenico Scanu, who travels around the world to various tea plantations to source our wonderful teas.
The Ritz Afternoon Tea Service is €75 per person and can be booked at The Ritz London website.
